Ms. Cook expressed her appreciation saying, "The Society has always been a wellspring of information, programs, and conservation efforts and sells outstanding native plants." Cook is committed to protecting, improving and enhancing the quality of our lives and the natural resources surrounding us.  She lectures at New England Wild Flower Society, the Rhode Island Wild Plant Society, the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University, Connecticut College, and many more. She serves as Conservation Chair of the Connecticut Butterfly Association and has designed and installed more than twenty butterfly habitat areas and gardens across the state, connecting with biotic corridors crucial to the survival of these important pollinators of native flora.

Cook is principal of Mosaics, an ecological landscape design company in Connecticut.  She is a member of NOFA and the Association of Professional Landscape Designers, and is a graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art and the New York Botanical Garden Certificate program.
