New England Wild Flower Society schedules events and classes throughout the year.
November 1: Winter walking for members begins
November 1- December 20: The Garden shop at Garden in the Woods is open for Holiday Shopping Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
December 5: The Wonderful World of Wild North American Orchids. Bill Brumback, Director of Conservation, and Dr. Dennis Whigham of the Smithsonian and the North American Orchid Conservation Center, will discuss efforts to conserve these endangered plants at the Boston Public Library in Copley Square, Boston, beginning at 7 p.m. Admission is free. Guided walking tours are offered each day Garden in the Woods is open (Tuesday-Sunday and Holiday Mondays, April 13-October 31). Weekday tours are offered at 10 am. Weekend tours are given at 2 pm. Cart tours for people needing mobility assistance are offered weekdays by appointment only (call 508-877-7630, ext. 3303).
