Elizabeth Kneiper, is a lichenologist and president of the Friends of the Farlow, an international group of amateurs and professionals interested in cryptogamic botany. For promoting knowledge about lichens and her dynamic teaching and scientific inventories, she is the 2007 winner of the Society's Massachusetts Award.
