Roland "Boot" Boutwell, naturalist
Roland "Boot" Boutwell, a freelance itinerant naturalist, teaches nature programs and leads field trips for New England Wild Flower Society, Massachusetts Audubon, Appalachian Mountain Club, Friends of the Middlesex Fells, and others. In 2000, he completed the Society's Certificate in Native Plant Studies and has been teaching the core course in Native New England shrubs ever since.
