Discovering Trees

Knowing some trees allows you to fully enjoy any walk in the woods. This course will introduce you to common conifers and broadleaf trees of Southern New England, and show you how to recognize them using basic tree keys (bark, buds, and leaves) and field guides.  We’ll “talk the talk” with an illustrated introduction, then get outside to “walk the walk” and practice tree ID on the trail.
