Join us for a day-long field trip to compare two very different aquatic habitats, differing in water pH, vegetation and level of disturbance. Visit the acidic, soft-water Bog Pond in Savoy which is pristine and invasive free. Then travel to the alkaline, hard-watered Berkshire Pond in Lanesborough, a highly eutrophic pond with many aquatics and invasives. We will see a good representation of Potamogeton and Myriophyllum. Bring water, lunch and a canoe or kayak.
