Get acquainted with our native flora as we spend the day learning how to ID wildflowers in the field at three different habitats in western MA. Start the day at New England Wild Flower Society’s Nasami Farm, exploring the stream-bank and meadow habitats for different wildflowers to key out and learn. Then head off to two Franklin Land Trust sanctuaries in Whatley to practice our ID skills and see what wonders we might find. Bring lunch, water, insect repellent, hand lens, and Newcomb’s Wildflower Guide if you have one. Dress for bushwhacking through fields and woods.
