After a brief discussion of plant physiology, explore various methods of vegetation propagation such as stem and root cuttings, rhizome notching, and divisions of existing clumps. Using the stockbeds at the Garden in the Woods as a laboratory, learn techniques that can be applied to your home garden with species such as trillium, Cypripediuim, Polygonatum and more. Make divisions of mayapple rhizomes to take home.
