Take a walk through the natural areas of this interesting, glacially-sculpted property and learn to identify many typical plant communities found in a New England mixed forest, including different habitats such as a wetland and a shaded upland that opens up to more sun. Look closely at several conifers and hardwoods which form the canopy over an understory of smaller trees, shrubs and non-woody plants, including wild flowers and ferns at ground level.
