The Opacum Woods, a 266 acre property, owned and stewarded by the Opacum Land Trust, is home to two dozen fern taxa and several club-mosses. In late June we expect to see two significant populations of Moonworts, and four Botrychium species in all. The two moonworts would be the main prize at Opacum, but Botrychium oneidense and B. virginianum, Adiantum pedatum, Dryopteris x slossonae, and even Deparia acrostichoides would count as attractions. Please wear long pants and bring a hand lens.
