Insect Sounds Night Hike

Families may picnic at the Garden before program.

Have you ever wondered which insects are playing in the string section of nature’s nighttime orchestra? Which ones are playing the drums?  We will learn about insect sounds and their purpose before a walk through the Garden to enjoy a little night music, courtesy of our crickets, katydids, and cicadas.  We will make a songbook of nighttime noises to use in your own backyard.
