The Kitchen Garden Makes a Comeback
Kitchen gardens may conjure up images of slower times and antiquated ways of living. But far from this sepia-tinted image, kitchen gardens are roaring back with new appeal and 21st-century designs. The desire to harvest and cook fresh vegetables, fruits, and herbs from our own gardens has never lost its appeal, but with looming global food and environmental issues, growing our own food and buying locally are now tasty imperatives. This day long symposium will feature lively presentations by four experts in various facets of the kitchen garden, an idea whose time has come – or, more accurately, come back.
