Green Energy through Viridian
New England Wild Flower Society is part of the Residual Fundraising Program with Viridian Energy, a socially responsible retail energy company that supplies competitively priced green energy in your area. Viridian pursues its mission of sustainability through its unique fundraising program, which gives non-profit organizations like ours the opportunity to earn money by enrolling customers for Viridian. We receive income from Viridian each month our supporters pay their electric bill, while you save money over time.
Where energy is deregulated, energy service is broken down into supply and delivery. This means that customers can
stay with their local utility for service and delivery but select an alternate
company as their supplier of choice. With Viridian, the customer will still
receive the same bill, and the same maintenance, reliable service and delivery
of power from the utility, but will receive the Viridian’s rate on the supply
portion of their bill.
Viridian offers service in Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania and offers affordable, flexible rate plans that come from a minimum of 20% renewable energy (above the state mandate). The company also provides a Green-e Energy 100% renewable energy rate plan.
