The Education Center at Garden in the Woods houses many of the Society's courses and events and is also available for private and corporate rentals.
Our Education Center
For Private Parties or Wedding Receptions
Our Education Center offers seating for up to 75 people in a fully appointed room with a wall of windows looking out onto a beautiful wooded setting. Facilities are air conditioned and handicapped accessible. A kitchen off the main room is equipped for catering with refrigerator, microwave and oven. We will be happy to provide a list of fine caterers for your food and beverage needs. The building features a covered open-air pavilion with wooden tables and native stonework floor, offering space for small outdoor sessions, picnics or cocktails.
Our inspiring new Idea Garden, just down the path from the Education Center, offers an inviting space for small, informal groups. Additional outdoor gathering places include the Woodland Stage, stone Amphitheater, and rustic seating in our Council Ring.
Rental guests are invited to enjoy our 45-acre botanic garden featuring the largest landscaped collection of native plants in the Northeast.
For retreats, meetings or conferences
The large room can be set up in a variety of ways, including theatre-style with rows of chairs, conference-style with tables in a U-shape, or classroom-style with people seated around individual tables. The room can also be divided with a soundproof partition to create two smaller meeting spaces. We can provide a TV/VCR, overhead projector, digital projector, slide projector, screen, whiteboard, two easels, podium, and built-in sound system with both cordless and stationary microphones.
